Introducing theme by catering to MI
XSEED Preschool uses thematic approach to integrate concept formation and skill development in children. Basic disciplines such as reading, math and science are integrated rather than dealing with subjects that are isolated and fragmented. Thematic instruction involves the social, emotional, cognitive and physical-motor skills that addresses not just multiple learning outcomes but also caters to different kind of learners.
For example in the XSEED Kindergarten theme 'Amazing Animals' , the children are introduced to different types of animals such as zoo, pet, farm and the wild animals. They are exposed to information through activities that build in them an awareness of the habitats, eating habits, behaviours, traits and physical characterstics of the different types of animals. They learn through hands-on activities such as making habitats for different wild animals, baking animal cookies, storytelling, song, role-play, and games. Activitiescater to all areas of development such as language, math, knowledge and understanding of the world, creative, physical, personal, social and emotional. So, as you must have noticed a ‘Mover’ learns by engaging in games or making habitats for different wild animals, a ‘Talker’ exhibits learning by expressing in stories, a ‘Walker’ is focused in baking activities moving from one step to the other and leading the group by modelling. A ‘Watcher’ gets a couple of opportunities to know more about animals by observing them in the zoo or by watching others engaged in different tasks. All the activities above provide rich situations for a ‘With-er’ to interact in small groups, learn by doing and getting space and time to be comfortable.
The ‘Multiple Intelligence Theory’ therefore sees true implementation in an XSEED classroom wherein we believe that no two children learn similarly and so there are varied experiences to make learning engaging and meaningful.

We truly value the family’s role in a child’s education, and recognize how much we can accomplish by working with families, in building a true partnership.
