Free choice time :
Each lesson begins with free choice time wherein the children mark attendance, select and engage in a quiet activity or read a book. This section helps in a smooth home to school transition.
Circle Time :
This is group time, sharing time and time to do things together and set the tone for the day. Each child gets a chance to contribute and feel valued. It boosts inter-personal skills, strengthens relationships and enhances self-confidence.
Theme Time:
During Theme Time, the children are encouraged to explore, experiment and observe, using science materials; build models, engage in project work, meet special visitors, discuss, brainstorm, watch visuals, participate in role- and imaginative
Math Skill :
This is the time when children relate to the number activities. Children use numbers, sort, explore patterns and shapes, solve problems, measure and respond to direction, order and position. It has an independent display surface and a storage area for materials. The children develop or apply skills while exploring different concepts.
Language skill:
This is the time when children engage in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing activities. It has an independent display surface and a storage area for materials. The children develop or apply skills while exploring different concepts.
Play Time :
This is designed to give the children an opportunity to socially interact with mixed ability groups. Play Time is both structured and unstructured, to provide time to plan for activities and resources in areas such as, rhythm and movement, music, art.
Reflection time:
This is a large group interaction led by a discussion or a sharing about how the day went. This is the time to recapitulate the important concepts learned. It is also a quiet time, in which the children may be involved in putting up their art work in individual display areas or listening to a story. The children can also be told something about an activity for the following day. Home assignment if any, can also be shared here.
