The CIT programme focuses on preparing the XSEED Preschool mentors, to understand the soul and methodology of the XSEED curriculum so that the mentors can implement it effectively in the classroom.

The teacher training takes the mentors through an experiential cycle of observing, delivering, assessing and evaluating their own teaching. This ensures the mentors to adapt the processes to their students’ specific needs. The program addresses the core skills essential for effective teaching:
• The ability to deliver lesson that involves and engages all kinds of learners.
• The ability to observe, assess and give feedback effectively.
Further, the training introduces the mentors to XSEED’s specific building blocks such as the use of the lesson plans, classroom management, instructional tools and skills and methods of meaningful assessment.

The program also has an effective follow up system whereby mentors have access to the school’s education coaches at all times to discuss and work out any challenges or concerns that might rise during the actual implementation of the program. Periodic refresher CIT courses are also held for all mentors so there is an opportunity to discuss what worked and what needs to get better.
